A Glimpse Of BB Curve 9220 Prior To Official Announce
Review:

You may recall that in January this year, leaked images and here-say info on RIM's road map for 2012 gave the masses a fair idea of what to expect in the forthcoming months. RIM is planning to launch two handsets, viz., BlackBerry Curve 9320 and Curve 9220, during the second quarter. However, BlackBerry Curve 9220 makes its online appearance way before schedule, thanks to a listing on Flip kart that unravels almost all the details of the model. Per the listing, the device is set to be launched soon. It, however, did not disclose how soon or what is the exact release date? Going by previous reports we may deduce that the BlackBerry Curve 9220 will run on OS 7.1 just like its debut mate, Curve 9320. One notable feature, that earlier BlackBerry models have not seen, is expected to be featured in the two upcoming handsets – FM radio.

If the online retails website is to be believed, the Curve 9220 will boast a host of features including

• 2MP primary camera with video recording capabilities
• 2.44-inch TFT display capable of displaying decent output at 320*240 pixel resolution
• QWERTY keypad with well-spaced keys
• Multiple connectivity across Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS and Bluetooth
• Expandable storage capacity up to 32GB
• Document viewer
• Voice memo/dial
• Predictive text input

A Glimpse Of BB Curve 9220 Prior Official Announce. These and others were shared to give people a per-launch glance at the yet-to-be-announced handset. There are other technical specifications that remain unknown, such as its price, weight, dimensions, battery life etc., leaving RIM with some scope for sharing during the official announcement. Though the exact price of the Curve 9220 is not known, we anticipate it to be in the range of Rs. 9000, with a 1 year warranty.

Windows has offered phenomenal, native handwriting recognition since the halcyon days of XP – but good luck finding an application or device to take advantage of it. Hopefully, the push for Windows 8 tablets is going to alleviate that issue.
